Product Information:
Turbosmart have totally redesigned the Hyper-gate 45 for 2011. The New Hyper-Gate45 has a 45 mm valve that is designed for maximum flow in mind.
Smaller and lighter than the previous model, the new Hyper-Gate 45 features a unique locking collar design. This makes it for one; far easier to remove and change over wastegate springs!
Tested and proven under the most demanding racing conditions, the new Turbosmart Hyper-Gate45 provides an excellent way of reliably controlling boost in a wide range of applications.

• 45mm stainless steel valve ( larger than a TiAL MVR44 )
• Lighter and smaller than old Hyper-Gate!
• Collar locking design for reduced size and quicker spring changes.
• Fitted with 7 PSI Middle spring standard.
• Suits welding to 1.75” O.D. pipe.

• Is compatible with other popular 44 mm inlet and outlet weld flanges.

This Turbosmart wastegate is necessary for a Turbo such as a GT35482R  or larger. If you use anything smaller than this or a MVR44 TiAL Wastegate  - You will NOT be able to hold steady boost. I know this from experience. I had a ER34GTT RB25DET with a DSR3540J ( aka GT3540R ) on it. I wanted to hold 10 psi ( even 1 bar!! ) But once the turbo started spooling  and the RPM came up the boost pressure stretched out to 1.2-1.3 Bar. I couldn't hold it at 1 bar and this was using a TiAL F46mm ( F46 actually use a 38mm Valve.. ) I ended up having to remove the gate and porting it out with a Carbide Burr ( simply because it cost far to much money to out it a side and change it to a MVR at the time. After grinding the heck out of it - it can now hold 10psi under full load no trouble and over 24 pounds on high boost. Anyone wanting to use a big HP turbo you need nothing less than a MVR44 or this Hyper gate 45. Ebay / Trademe manifolds with a 2 bolt wastegate flange just arnt going to cut the mustard.
