Turbosmart Boost Tee

DESCRIPTION: Smaller and lighter than other Manual Boost Controllers on the market. Set your boost and forget it. Boost adjustable from under the hood with an accurate, proven Detent System. Easy to install and adjust.

APPLICATION: Suits any turbocharged vehicle.

SUPPLIED WITH: Billet mounting bracket.


How these work?
use between turbo actuator and Turbo Compressor cover silicone ( 3 mm pipe between Actuator and Turbo - or between external wastegate vacuum line and pressure outlet eg plenum/intercooler piping ) Cut line - connect in between the line this boost tee.

How it works?
What it does is that when your turbo is boosting ( pressure ) the boost Tee will release a small amount of pressure ( like putting a hole in your silicone line.. This will trick the turbo/actuator into thinking that its not boosting as much ( because say; if you adjust Turbosmart boost tee from 10 psi to now 13 psi. 3psi is getting released out from the boost Tee tricking the actuator/ external wastegate.. )

Simply connect the boost tee - screw top in full ( so boost tee is shut and not leaking ) Go for a drive - see what boost is eg 10 psi standard. Then jump out of vehicle- pop hood screw it out 5 or more clicks - drive on and test again till you have the right boost level you want.

From experience with a manual boost Tee like this one you can only adjust them about 5+/- PSI from standard. So if you have a 10psi wastegate or actuator - with a boost Tee you should be able to adjust it to ( from your original actuator / wastegate pressure ) to about 5-7 PSI max more. Anymore than this and you would need to change your actuator or wastegate spring!!
